Our Story

Johnny Hassett

Producing young horses is a passion that runs deep through John Hassett. Born and raised around horses it’s no cliché to say that he could ride before he could walk. Johhny spent his formative years working with father, John L. Hassett, a leading horse trainer and veterinary surgeon.

After graduating from under his father’s training, Johnny chose to further his understanding and knowledge of the sport by spending time working for legends of the turf Aidan O’Brien and Todd Pletcher before starting his own career as a Breeze Up Consigner.

From humble beginnings, in his first year, and with a small budget, he held just four horses, he has now become one of the five elite consignors in Europe. Under his banner The Bloodstock Connection, Johhny has sold multiple group horses and black type horses across the world such as Pretty Baby, Gallic Chieftain.

Get in the Game

In November 2021, as a way to allow people outside the bloodstock industry as a way to give them a way to invest, be educated, entertained, informed and involved. It was structured so that people could invest anywhere between €100 and €100,000 or more. After setting up a website and some Twitter videos, €80,000 in investment was raised in just four months. After the breeze ups, this turned into €100,000. 76% of investors made a profit. The average profit (index share) was 19.3% and Get in the Game was born.

Considering that first year a “market research/pilot”, this is the initial formal invitation to become a breeze up pinhooker and thus, get in the game.
